KATIE KISH

(the liberal debutante):

Katie Kish studies geography and formal logic at the university of Guelph, where she is currently in her fourth year. When she graduates and grows up she hopes to either study for the rest of her life, become a freelance writer or just end up being a highschool math/geography teacher…

In her spare time she works for a company that has her making maps pretty much all day and works with many secular organizations. She is the president of the University of Guelph skeptics who is affiliated with the Center for Inquiry - Ontario (where she does a lot of multi media work) and the Secular Student Alliance. She is the vice president of the Freethought Association of Canada and the host/producer of Renegade Radio a nationally syndicated radio program. She also writes for Eco-Chick as the “canadian/feminist” correspondent. She is a music snob, a dinosaur junkie and likes to keep her room in a complete mess… but is overly cautious about keeping washrooms and kitchens completely spotless.

person you’d like to marry and why: Either Hemant Mehta because… well, he’s all like “WOO! ATHEISM!” but understand there needs to be sympathy and discussion within religion… also he’s a babe. Ooor Janna Levin because she’s all like “yay! formal logic!” and that’s really hot.

PHARRELL JERCOB

(the Christian and token black guy):

Pharrell Jercob was born and raised in Africa where he had his fair share of run ins with rebels, diamond mines and death - maybe someday he’ll write about it. But not today. He left his past behind him and moved to America, and then Canada. He is now in his fourth year of studies at the University of Waterloo where he is some sort of chemist and doesn’t have any sort of plan to graduate. At least not any time soon.

In his spare time he is an avid video gamer enjoying such thrills as Bioshock, GTA and Portal. Although he tries to be involved with the secularist groups in the Tri-city area he often finds that his views on religion are incompatible with them all… and that he might actually be religious. His being on this site is an attempt to provide more content and different ideas.

He totally digs rap music that has a soul (and isn’t just disgusting), penguins and the color red.

person you’d like to marry and why: Alisha Cuthbert, who wouldn’t? She’s smokin’ hot especially when you just look at a picture of her while listening to her when she was on popular mechanics. (You can’t watch her on it because that’s probably illegal. and awkward. being she was like 10.)

TYLER ELLIOTT

(the curious biologist):

Tyler Elliott is a recent graduate of the University of Guelph with an honours degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics. The near future is uncertain for him but graduate studies seem very likely and either way he intends to make science a part of his working life.

Tyler has always had an interest in cryptozoology and the paranormal ever since he read copious books on the subjects when he was younger. Many afternoons were spent pouring over books about the Loch Ness Monster, Sasquatch, Yeti, UFO’s and all manner of odd things. Even though he has grown up and his perspective has changed a bit he still sees merit in the investigation of hard to explain or unexplained phenomena and thinks that many things are dismissed outright as impossible or fanciful far too often.

Tyler fills his time by surfing the interwebs, playing computer games, watching too much television, reading comic books and various other nerdly pursuits. He hopes to one day produce definitive proof of the existence of the Sasquatch and rub it in Katie Kish’s face.
