Man, you sure can tell based on my visitor numbers when I don’t do a real post for over a day. I’ve got a few brewing, but I won’t be able to get ontop of that until much later tonight. I have the show to worry about right now. I’m on air in 3 hours and have no content! Yeeeah! So if you’re a woman, and you’re reading this, and you’re free from 5 -6 … give my cell phone a call (250 858 4256) and we can have a chit chat on air about something you do! Yeeeah! Go Katie! Way to be organized!

Alright, lets dive into some news, shall we? The big one today seems to be the gay marriage shtuff in Jersey. I’ll never understand the controversy of gay marriage in a supposed ‘free’ ‘democratic’ and ‘secular’ country. Its sort of like how I’ll never understand why people use IE instead of Firefox.

A guy in Toronto is facing his 282nd charge for child pornography. Personlly, after my 135th charge I got the idea that it was illegal and stopped getting caught.

Bush isn’t giving up on the Iraq stuff. He knows his support is dwindleing and that we all think he is a moron – but he keeps up being a retard. Its pretty bad when people say that Iraq is better off with Saddam.

Korea is still whacked up… yo. I don’t even smile when I see bush anymore since he simply dismissed North Korea. (I used to smile because I thought he looked like a monkey and that’s cute. but now i just see a demon giving the world the finger.) I bet he’s a horrible father. Its like when a kid hurls a giant back of rocks at their little sister’s head and dad just says "Oh she just wants attention" and ignores it. …Uh, HELLO?! All those school shooters just wanted some attention too.

Its so fucked up on so many different levels that teen girls smoke to lose weight. And its not like an offical study will make them stop… My sister smokes because Carry from Sex and The City smokes. …There should probably be more attempts to make smoking illegal or something. Its screwing kids up at a lower and lower age every time I look. Its like kids are starting to do drugs at a younger and younger age. Its pretty bad that we even have to start testing our junior boys for drugs in hockey.

Hempology 101

So when people told me that *everyone* in BC smokes pot, I thought they were exaggerating, like how people say *every* environmentalist wears Burkenstocks… you won’t be suprised if they’re wearing them, but not all of them do.

Well turns out *everyone* in BC smokes pot. hahaha (Okay, okay, not everyone. but…gah)

So I walk out of the library at around 4:30 to get over to the station to sit in on my first show and all I can smell when I step out is pot. I was just going to keep walking, because I’ve smelt pot on campus a zilliion times. Then I look over and see a huge circle of people, there were probably about 60 people there. So I walk over and take my camera out (that many people gathered in public usually means a camera is going to be needed.)

Then I realize…they’re *all* smoking pot. All of them. They’re passing around like 20 giant joints. Now I’m from Toronto, you do this on the UofT campus and chances are you’re gonna get arrested or get a fine or something. But here, like 60 people… just, smoking up.

So I snap a few shots (there are more on flickr, check em out.) and continue on my way to the station. When I get there I tell Jana and Johanna about it …and Johanna looks at me "You’re not from BC are you?" hahahaha

It was then that it got explained to me that these people are the hempology 101 club, who also do a lecture series on campus. Every Wednesday at… I’m sure you can guess what time… …4:20, they go to the fountain and smoke pot. …SO not only am I living in the province with the BEST pot in the world, Im living in the province in the best FREE pot in the world. BAM take THAT Amsterdam.
