I just did a hip hop show, so I’m in the mood to put up some brand-spankin’-new hip-hop. Even though there is TONS of other new stuff… This is all wicked (and its the 2nd last week I’ll be doing this! Because then I won’t be at the radio station and won’t have my hands on all the goodies. Le Sad.)

Lanu - Mother Earth (This Is My Home - Ubiquity 2007)

El-P - Up All Night (I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead - Definitive Jux 2007)

D.O - Let’s Be Real (The North Starr - Independent 2007)

Macromantics - Moments in Movement (Moments in Movement - Kill Rock Stars 2007) *currently on tour with Deefhoof!!!!

Ttc - Ambition (3615 - Big Dada 2007) Le french and sounds like the never ending story theme at the end of it. cooool.

Props for putting El-P in there. I have “Habeas Corpses (Draconian Love)” stuck in my head right now…

Oh man, El-P is sooo good. Honestly… Hip-hop isn’t really my genera, but after doing an hour of it on air I am totally addicted for a couple of days, and I definitely scored a copy of that El-P disc. So happy.

Hey btw, are you guys alright up there in Canada? Nobody is making a peep about potential major assault to Canadian ISP and internet neutrality. (the last DMCA and now this)

nobody makes a peep. Is it that trivial up there in canada? what’s the legal process?

“A member of Canada’s ruling Conservative party has pledged to “clean up” the Internet with new bill that would mandate ISP licensing, know-your-subscriber rules, and allow the government to order ISPs to block content. ISPs that fail to block would faces possible jail time for the company’s directors and officers.”
