I was sitting here typing away a nice little post on a devonian shark called the Dunkleosteus… then my computer went *POP* and turned off. … aka, I accidentally kicked the reset button. (See, I put my computer under my desk and rest my feet on it… so it gets kicked… more often than I’d like to admit.) …Wordpress usually saves posts - but not this time around! Soooo I’m not retyping the post, sorry, but you can read all about the Devonian shark, Dunkleosteus here… where you’ll also find an INSANELY well preserved fossil of it’s skull. Very cool. It was real big! 8 - 10 m long and 1.5 humans tall! ooo.

If you’re interested in other sharks from the time you’d be interested in looking up the stethacanthus and hyneria… Both of which would swallow you hole. Sucka.

This is why 20 year old girls who don’t sleep at night and have nothing else to do with their life shouldn’t be allowed to have digital cameras and books about prehistoric animals.

My plan is to do a post on the meganeura, petrolacosaurus, arthropleura (those three mostly for Alon, because I think he’ll like them), a couple of croc like animals and a post about pre-dinosaur animals before getting into the cool dinosaur stuff. I’m getting pretty bored with things that don’t have to do with dinosaurs, so I need to get myself all excited again by having dinosaurs on the very near horizon.
