I went to Mt. Tolmie today, it took me longer to actually get to the mountain than it took me to climb it. It wasn’t very big. Also, my pictures didn’t come out as well as I wanted them to… Some are pretty good. You can see them in my flickr account, they’re all in the "Mt. Tolmie" set. But the most important thing is that I got to wear my Burks! Yea! The very first Burk day of the year and it came in February!! I heart the west coast, yo.
In 2 hours I’ll be on air for my big gig.I still don’t have a very concrete play list planned out, but I plan on going in early to get it together. Listen in! And call in if you really want to (250) 721 8700… Most of the time I answer. If I don’t its because I’m on air, or because I’m already on the line. Some people get really angry if you don’t answer their calls, so I just thought I’d clarify that.
I just watched a documentary on religion that Allen directed me to. Now I see where christian fundies stem from - home schooling. I guess I always knew that in one way or another, but wow… Home schooled children should go into a "de-brainwashing" program before going to University. Just so they know that the big flood in the bible isn’t what gives us rock strata!! I nearly cried!!!
This is a note to all Christian Fundamentalists out there - LEAVE MY GEOLOGY ALONE!!!! You already interfere with how people live their lives with marriage and sex. And you already convert the minds of thousands of children. And all that snazz. The least you can do is leave my precious science of geology alone! The flood did not create strata. Time created strata. Please. Just… step away from the rocks.
