I look and feel like most people do at 6 am after just rolling out of bed - the only difference is that its 6 pm and I’m just rolling out of bed. I spent most of the day trying to catch up on sleep only to decide to come into work 4 hours early to steal as much music as possible by ripping full CDs onto my laptop - I really should have started to do this sooner. I have so much music to get… And at an average of 10 minutes per CD … I could be here a while.
I really hope the next radio station I work as is just as lax on CD ripping rules as there are here at CFUV… or else I’ll feel like an idiot for starting to rip CDs 8 months ago…. But I guess I can’t complain too much. My actual CD collection has nearly doubled because of free swag.
For those of you who want to tune in, I’m on tonight from 9 - 10:30. I was going to do a show for women in jazz and break out the Verve Remixes - but I got too lazy to make a play list… so I’ll just be playing whatever happens to fall off of the shelf and into the CD player. Woo. I did that Friday night and it made the best set I’ve ever made in my entire life. Seriously.
And just as a last note before I go run around getting CDs together - Season 4, episode 12 of the L Word - has one of the most lame moments I have ever seen in my life. I won’t say it, because it will give away a HUGE part of the plot for smashley and others- but the bit with Diana ? Seriously. Laame.
