Endangered Species Protection for Bigfoot

Posted by: Katie Kish In: Fun| Society is ridic

This sort of thing only happens in Alberta…

…Weird.

Recently, Mike Lake, a Canadian member of parliament from Edmonton, Alberta, agreed to introduce a petition that called for Bigfoot to be protected under the Canadian version of the endangered species act.

Lake presented to the House of Commons a petition that stated, “The debate over (Bigfoot’s) existence is moot in the circumstance of their tenuous hold on merely existing. Therefore, the petitioners request the House of Commons to establish immediate, comprehensive legislation to affect immediate protection of Bigfoot.”

People are fighting to have things that may not exist protected under the endangered species act but they’re not showing more concern for animals that we’re already certain are in fact leaving our planet forever. …So messed up.

Via dreadful.

Too bad you don’t live here in Oregon, where we have tenured university professors who believe this film shows a real sasquatch. In reality, of course, Bigfoot is an alien.

I think there are enough crazy people here in Canada to keep me busy without having to move to the states!
