Being a Maple Leafs fan, it definitely is an exciting/nervous time of the year. With 4 games left, and one point out of a playoff spot, every game must be won. Toronto sits at 87 points, 1 behind Montreal who are currently sitting in 8th. While the Leafs are on the outside, looking in - they do have a game tonight against 7th place NY Rangers (who have 89 points). So a win tonight will put the Leafs into a playoff spot, and will move Montreal down to 9th. *crosses fingers*
Coming down the stretch, the Leafs need to pull it together. And stop giving up leads. Last night, they gave up (another) 4-1 lead against Pittsburgh , who came back and forced OT. However, Tomas Kaberle <3 got the OT winner, giving TO their 2 points.
Deja vu? It seems a lot like last year, with the Leafs ending the season on a high note, however not making the playoffs because the team in front of them (who I believe was Tampa Bay, correct me if Im wrong) also ending the season on a high note. Let’s hope for a different outcome this year.
I dont really get a chance to watch a lot of West teams play - mostly just the Canadian ones on Hockey Night In Canada. However, I know Katie isn’t very happy with Colorado being 7 points out of a playoff spot. Good news, Dallas is in! As long as Detroit loses, it’s all good.
I’ll most likely post more about hockey when the playofffs actually start… EEEEK SO SOON!
I like to predict each series. I’m rarely right, but it’s fun all the same.

My roommate thinks its fun to sit and badger me about the fact that Colorado isn’t in the playoffs. But when the season started I said “There is no fucking way philly or the avs will make the playoffs”

And btw - even if the leafs DO make the playoffs - what happened EVERY SINGLE YEAR?!? Right. They make it to round 2 and choke. I’d rather see Montreal in the playoffs
and dallas win it all.

I’m voting for the Nucks too. Go Canadian teams, because Ottawa won’t make it past the first round, I’m certain. And I’m not too sure about Calgary, I’d like them too.

and ps the nucks are going all the way, as long as we don’t come up against the flames or the wild in the playoffs, I’d be very worried about them especially after the way the nucks played last night vs the flamers.

I read somewhere that it was originally meant to be possessional … so The Toronto Maples Leaf’s… …as in they own/are the team called the maple leafs just the ” ‘ ” isn’t entirely inclusive to jerseys …
Okay i made that up. I hate the leafs anyway. so i dont take offense to that. especially from someone named “gordo” pfft. and ESPECIALLY from an american. double pfft.
