Facebook tells me when everyone’s birthday is so I’m not an asshole and forget - turns out today is Jerome Armstrong, of MyDD,’s birthday. So happy birthday jerome…I’ve almost finished reading your book. (That I started last summer - but its been a busy semester! Its good!)
Also - Jessica lets us know that you can support the girls that Ann linked to, who were unfairly treated in a sorority by joining their facebook group. Just another reason why I hate sororities and everything they stand for. My university doesn’t have any, but Guelph did and Western is like frat capital… I don’t know if its like this everywhere, but I got at least 8 or 9 offers to join sororities in Ontario… I just couldn’t see why I would want to pay $100 to try to be accepted. …Weird.
I was perusing facebook (aka "creeping" as the kids have deemed it) and I found a few groups devoted to the freemasons. I got reading about them, because I heard that some people aren’t too fond of them. My dad was a mason, as was my favorite high school teacher. So obviously I don’t hold any sort of grudge towards men of the masonry. It is sort of sad that they don’t really let women in… but really, it just seems like a boys club for grown up men. Anyway, I get a scholarship because my dad was a mason. Wicked.
